Privacy at Rarebit
Last updated October 2, 2026
This notice covers gorarebit.com and the Rarebit waitlist. It explains what we collect when you sign up, why we collect it, who can see it, and the choices you have. We have kept it short and specific on purpose.
What we collect
- When you join the waitlist: your name and email address. Optionally, the month of your next family trip and where you're going.
- How you found us: a referral code if a friend's invite link brought you here, and any campaign tags (UTM) on the link you clicked.
- Your browser's user-agent string (the browser and device type), saved with your signup to help us spot junk signups.
- How the page is used: anonymous usage events such as page views, button clicks, how long a section is on screen, and how far you scroll. These are tied to a random per-visit id, not to you, and we do not store your IP address with them.
Why we collect it
- To tell you when Rarebit launches and let you order a book.
- To prioritize the waitlist by trip timing, so a book can be ready before you go.
- To understand which parts of the page are useful and improve it.
We only use your email address to tell you about Rarebit. Every email we send will include an unsubscribe link, and you can ask us to remove you at any time by emailing hello@gorarebit.com. We do not sell or rent your information.
Who can see it
Only Rarebit. The site and the waitlist are hosted on Cloudflare, which processes connection data such as IP addresses to deliver the site and protect it from abuse, under Cloudflare's own privacy policy. The page's fonts load from Google Fonts, so your browser requests them from Google. We do not share your details with anyone else.
How long we keep it
We keep your waitlist details until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them.
Your choices
- Unsubscribe using the link in any email we send.
- Email hello@gorarebit.com to see, correct, or delete what we hold about you.
Children
The waitlist is for parents and guardians. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13 through this site. When a book is ordered later, a parent provides the child's first name and interests so the book can be personalized.
Changes
If this notice changes, we will update this page and the date at the top.
